Nice to meet you. I’m a writer and editor based in the Bay Area thinking about solidarity, sacrifice, faith, and joy in contemporary life. Right now I’m the Senior Editor of Culture and Engagement at Christianity Today. Previously, I worked in audience engagement at the San Jose Mercury News; before that, I was the managing editor at Commonweal. My writing has appeared in The New Republic, The Point, The American Scholar, TriQuarterly, Slate and Sojourners, among other places. I’ve also taught writing to college students. I received my MFA in nonfiction writing from Columbia University in 2018.
